From January 24 to February 21, 2026, Mamoiada prepares to welcome the return of the Historic Carnival, one of the community’s most heartfelt and identifying moments. A special period when ancient rituals, symbolic masks and deeply rooted traditions enliven the town, involving citizens and visitors in an authentic and timeless experience.
In this itinerary, the Museum of Mediterranean Masks is an essential stop to enter the heart of Mamoiada Carnival traditions, learn about the history of the Mamuthones and Issohadores and understand their cultural and symbolic value.
We look forward to seeing you at the museum for a visit that will enrich the Carnival experience, offering a deeper look at its history and meaning.
